I saw this post with tutorial and knew I had to try it myself. I was SO disappointed when I was one of the many that wasn't able to use the elastic thread in my machine. I guess I need an older machine on hand for just this. It's so cute that I think it just might be worth it.
I did the alternative route of gathering and then pinning a ribbon down the center over the gather and then sewing around the edges of the ribbon.
I think both looks are cute for different reasons. I finished this one in time for a welcome home gift for my friend.
